Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered furniture for the renovated second floor <br />courtroom at the old courthouse. County Manager William Cowan <br />submitted three (3) options to the Board for consideration. After <br />some discussion, Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve option <br />number one and instructed the County Manager to purchase the <br />necessary furniture. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />vote. <br />The Board considered a parking plan proposal for the new <br />courthouse/jail/law enforcement center. County Manager William Cowan <br />recommended to the Board that reserved spaces for certain individuals <br />be marked, there be no marked visitors spaces and employees would <br />park first-come-first-serve. Commissioner Moretz presented a <br />recommendation that called for reserving ninety-three (93) spaces and <br />no parking signs erected on the street in front and beside the <br />courthouse. After some discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved to <br />accept the recommendation of the County Manager to reserve two spaces <br />each for the Clerk of Court, district attorney, magistrate, probation <br />and Register of Deeds; six spaces for the Sheriff's Department and <br />five spaces for judges. Other parking will be done on a first come, <br />first served basis. Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />vote. <br />The Board considered an agreement with the San-Lee Humane <br />Society. County Attorney K.R. Hoyle told the Board this was the same <br />agreement as in the past. After some discussion commissioner <br />Stafford moved to approve the agreement with the San-Lee Humane <br />Society subject to approval of the budget.
