Wicker School <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to notify the Board of Education that the <br />Board of Commissioners chose not to obtain the Broadway Elementary <br />School Agricultural Shop property and they may dispose of this <br />property according to the statutory procedures. Commissioner Reives <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered County property located at 205 Hillcrest <br />Drive. County Manager William Cowan told the Board Adcock & <br />Associates have appraised the house at an estimated value of $58,000 <br />(as currently is) and $68,000 repaired (scraping and painting outside <br />and interior paint and minor repairs suggested). After some <br />discussion Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the following <br />Resolution declaring the house and lot known as 205 Hillcrest Drive <br />to be surplus property: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee <br />desires to dispose of certain surplus property owned by the County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDby the Board of Commisssioners for <br />Lee County as follows: <br />1. The following described property is hereby declared to <br />be surplus to the needs of the County: <br />House known as 205 Hillcrest Drive and that protion <br />of Lot 25, McIver Park (Map Book 1, Page 187), which <br />fronts 80 feet on Hillcrest Drive and has outside <br />dimensions of 80.3 x 151.65 x 80 x 153.7 and contains <br />12,160 square feet, more or less. <br />2. The County manager is authorized to allow inspection of <br />the premises by interested parties and to solicite and advertise for <br />offers and to utilize the upset bid procedure set out in N.C.G.S. <br />160A-269 in the sale of this property. <br />8 <br />
