Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman invited Planning Board members to join the <br />commissioners for a public hearing scheduled for this date and time. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Boards' that Mr. Lloyd <br />Atkins was requesting to rezone from Residential Agricultural <br />District to Residential Restricted District 55.93 acres of land at <br />the intersection of Womble Road and Deep River Road. <br />Mr. Lloyd Atkins of 8801 Deep River Road and Mr. Gerald Atkins <br />of 8739 Deep River Road spoke in favor of the request. <br />Ms. Teresa Pilson of 7901 Copper Mine Drive spoke in opposition <br />to the request. <br />Ms. Liz Kovaschkitz of 7809 Willow Creek Road spoke about some <br />concerns she had concerning several copper mines in the area of the <br />proposed rezoning request. She was neither for or against the <br />petition request. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The meeting recessed to the Gordon A. Wicker Community <br />Conference Room to hold a public hearing on the proposed 1995-96 Lee <br />County Budget and CIP Plan. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to hold a public hearing for the FY <br />1995-96 Budget.
