The County <br />cannot appropriate or spend money for this project until a public <br />hearing is held to allow individuals the opportunity to comment on it. <br />Economic Development Director Don Moss told the Board he has been <br />working with Lederle Praxis for the past ten-months on two expansions, <br />this being the second expansion. Praxis is not at liberty to release <br />the dollar amount for the expansion at this time. Employment figures <br />will be released in approximately one month when they have their <br />ground breaking ceremony, which will be approximtely August 3, 1995 <br />No one spoke in opposition to the project. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to close the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the draft of the minutes of the June 15, <br />1995, Budget Work Session. Commissioner Stafford moved to approve the <br />minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Reives <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a budget request from the Sanford Lee County <br />Regional Airport Authority. County Manager William Cowan told the <br />Board they had requested $16,215 from the Board of Commissioners. His <br />recommendation to the Board was to fund 50% of the net operations and <br />maintenance cost of the Sanford Lee County Airport for the 1994-95 <br />fiscal year, which would come to $15,438.00. After some discussion <br />commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the above recommendation from <br />the County Manager to fund $15,438.00. Commissioner Cox seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Garner, Moretz and Reives <br />2 <br />
