BOOK ~6' Ft.C: l <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request from Commissioner Moretz <br />concerning a mission and vision statement for Lee County. He made <br />the motion to approve the following mission and vision statement for <br />Lee County for the coming year: <br />"Lee County is committed to serving our citizens with <br />dignity and enhancing the quality of life for <br />everyone". <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a letter of resignation from Commissioner <br />William C. Stafford, Jr. Commissioner Stafford read the following: <br />letter of resignation addressed to Chairman Hubert Garner: <br />"It is with deep regret that I must ask you as <br />Chairman to have the Board consider my resignation <br />as a Lee County Commissioner effective midnight, <br />July 31, 1995. <br />As I have previously shared with each member of the <br />Board, my move is employment related. <br />I wish this Board harmonious resolution in all its <br />undertaking and have a deep sense of appreciation to <br />you and the people of Lee County for allowing me to <br />serve". <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to regretfully accept Commissioner <br />Stafford's letter of resignation effective midnight, July 31, 1995. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />01 0 <br />10 <br />
