015 <br />Boa 16 PnE W <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />AUGUST 1, 1995 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />The special called meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:30 A.M. in the <br />Commissioners' Room, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; <br />F. Hubert Garner; J Douglas Moretz; Robert T. Reives and Gordon A. <br />Wicker. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />Chairman Garner delivered the invocation. <br />Chairman Garner informed the Board the purpose of the meeting <br />was to appoint a replacement for William C. Stafford, Jr., whose term <br />as a Lee County Commissioner expired on midnight, July 31, 1995, and <br />the election of a new vice Chairman. At this time the floor was open <br />for nominations. Commissioner Wicker nominated Mrs. Bert Matthews <br />and Commissioner Cox nominated Albert Cox. Commissioner Reives moved <br />to close the nominations. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Moretz, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Upon a roll call vote the following votes were taken: <br />COMMISSIONER <br />Jimmie Cox <br />Jack Dossenbach <br />Hubert Garner <br />Doug Moretz <br />Robert Reives <br />Gordon Wicker <br />VOTED FOR <br />Albert Cox <br />Albert Cox <br />Bert Matthews <br />Bert Matthews <br />Bert Matthews <br />Bert Matthews <br />Chairman Garner ruled that Mrs. Bert Matthews was elected as the <br />replacement for William C.
