Commissioner Matthews moved to <br />approve the purchase of a 1988 one-tone pickup from the City of <br />Sanford for $6,000. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered proposals for completing the Lee County <br />Classification and Pay Plan Study. County Manager William Cowan told <br />the Board the following bids had been received: <br />The Scott Group $ 7,500 <br />Graham, NC <br />The MAPS Group $ 15,000 <br />Cary, NC <br />David M. Griffith & Associates $ 31,200 <br />Raleigh, NC <br />Mr. Cowan told the Board the classification and pay plan study had <br />not been upgraded since 1991. After some discussion Commissioner <br />Reives moved to accept the low bid of $7,500 from The Scott Group to <br />complete the Lee County Classification and Pay Plan Study and <br />instructed the County Manager to negotiate for future studies. <br />Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered recommendations from the Planning Board. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Board the Planning Board <br />recommended a road maintenance petition and resolution for Foggy <br />Bottom be forwarded to the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation. Commissioner Cox moved to accept the recommendation <br />of the Planning Board.
