County Manager <br />William Cowan asked the Board to consider a budget amendment for the <br />Lee County Board of Education and a personnel matter in the Health <br />Department. After much discussion Commissioner Reives moved to add <br />the budget amendment for the Board of Education to the agenda. <br />Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews and Reives <br />Nay: Cox, Dossenbach and Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion failed due to a tie vote. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed, with <br />the addition of the personnel matter in the Health Department. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Lee Pugh, Chairman of the Lee County Health Board introduced <br />Mrs. Phyllis Lowery as the Interim Health Director for the Lee County <br />Health Department. Mrs. Lowery will begin work on August 10, 1995. <br />The Board considered the transfer of accumulated leave from <br />Johnston County for Roy Warren, Environmental Health Supervisor. Mr. <br />Lee Pugh, Chairman of the Lee County Health Board, explained to the <br />Board that Mr. Warren was accumulating vacation leave in the manner <br />of ten (10) hours per month in Johnston County. Mr. Pugh told the <br />Board he and the Health Board were asking that Mr. Warren earn ten <br />(10) hours of leave time per month in Lee County. Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to approve Mr. Warren earning ten (10) hours of <br />vacation leave per month. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for medical supplies for Emergency <br />Medical Services. Emergency Services Director Warren Lee told the <br />Board he had received three bids from the following for medical <br />supplies for Lee County EMS: <br />Armstrong Medical Industries <br />Lincolnshire, Illinois <br />2 <br />
