After some discussion Commissioner Reives moved to <br />declare the 70 x 120' section of land surplus and propose to accept <br />the bid of $25,000.00 unless an upset bid is received. Commissioner <br />Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to recess the meeting till 7:00 p.m. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and <br />the meeting recessed. Upon returning at 7:00 p.m., with all members <br />present except Commissioner Wicker, the meeting resumed. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to hold public hearings with the <br />Lee County Planning Board. Commissioner Matthews seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously . <br />The Chairman invited Planning Board members to join the <br />Commissioners for public hearings scheduled for this date and time. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Boards' that Mr. Van <br />Blanton was requesting to rezone from Residential Agricultural <br />District to Light Industrial District approximately 10.71 acres of <br />land on Hawkins Avenue. <br />Mr. Van Blanton, owner of Eastern <br />the Boards' he had been in business at <br />1968 and needed more warehouse space f <br />to build 10,000 square feet warehouses <br />William Rogers of 8115 Deep River Road <br />request. <br />Decor <br />his <br />:)r his <br />on th <br />spoke <br />on Hawkins Avenue, told <br />current location since <br />business.
