0 eob~ 16 PAIQ 16 <br />003 <br />The Board considered the purchase of Orthophotos equipment for <br />the Tax Department. Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman told the Board <br />the Orthophotos is a continuous project of aerial photography of the <br />county in order to have correct and up-to-date orthos for use in the <br />over-laying of the county maps. Three bids were received for the <br />project of $27,132, $28,860 and $26,860. Commissioner Reives moved <br />to approve the low bid of $26,860 from American Geographic Data, <br />Wilmington, North Carolina, for this project. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for painting of the Lee County Armory <br />Recreation Center. Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the Board <br />he had received the following bids to paint the walls and ceiling <br />area: <br />Arrow Tech $ 9,043.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Cleaning Master $ 12,000.00 <br />Moncure, NC <br />Pierce Paint Remodeling $ 9,250.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Carolina Paint & Wallpaper $ 11,100.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Mr. Cole told the Board $6,000 had been budgeted for this item in the <br />1995-96 budget. After some discussion Commissioner Moretz moved to <br />table the matter. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon <br />a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the installation of a fuel dispensing <br />system for the County of Lee and the Lee County Schools. County <br />Manager William Cowan told the Board the Lee County Schools had <br />contacted Public Works Director Kenny Cole about merging with them on <br />a fuel dispensing system. Mr. Cole told the Board he was currently <br />working on sketches for the proposed site. At the work session on <br />August 7, 1995, County Manager William Cowan was instructed to <br />contact the City of Sanford to see if they would be interested in <br />participating in this project.
