n01 BOOK N ?td[ 163 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MONDAY, AUGUST 21, 1995 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * J The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker was absent due to sickness. Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted: Chairman Garner delivered the invocation. The Board considered drafts' of the closed session minutes for November 7, 1994; closed session for April 3, 1995; closed session for August 7, 1995; and the regular meeting of August 7, 1995. Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the minutes' as the official records of said meetings. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a proclamation declaring Saturday, September 23, 1995, as Hunting and Fishing Day in Lee County. The North Carolina Wildlife Federation had requested this item be listed on the agenda for consideration. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the following proclamation: 1
