n01 <br />BOOK N ?td[ 163 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, AUGUST 21, 1995 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />J The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 p.m. in the <br />Commissioners Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present were Jimmie <br />M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. <br />Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. Commissioner <br />Gordon A. Wicker was absent due to sickness. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />Chairman Garner delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered drafts' of the closed session minutes for <br />November 7, 1994; closed session for April 3, 1995; closed session <br />for August 7, 1995; and the regular meeting of August 7, 1995. <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the minutes' as the official <br />records of said meetings. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner <br />Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed. Commissioner Reives <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a proclamation declaring Saturday, <br />September 23, 1995, as Hunting and Fishing Day in Lee County. The <br />North Carolina Wildlife Federation had requested this item be listed <br />on the agenda for consideration. Commissioner Matthews moved to <br />approve the following proclamation: <br />1 <br />
