BOOK 1~ ?p`j n n MINUTES OF THE WORK SESSION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 1995 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The work session of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:30 a.m. in the Gordon A. Wicker Community Conference Room at the Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha J L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz; Robert T. Reives and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. was out-of-town and unable to attend. Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted. Chairman Garner delivered the invocation. The Board considered drafts' of the regular August 111, 1995, work session, and the closed session minutes for the August 14, 1995, meeting. Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the minutes' as the official records of said meetings. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion., and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered approval of the agenda. commissioner Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Representatives from United Way of Lee County were present and gave a presentation to the Board on what United Way does for Lee County. Mrs. Bunny O'Sullivan, Mrs. Crickett Scovill, Ms. Cassandra Caldwell and Mr. Jim Felton spoke briefly. 1
