016 <br />KOOK 16 rrs~ 194 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is of the opinion that the <br />best interests of the people of Lee County would be served by the <br />abandonment of the portion of said road shown on the attached map; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Lee County as <br />follows: <br />1. That is requests the North Carolina Board of <br />Transportation to abandon that segment of Secondary Road No. 1425 also <br />known as Lee's Chapel Road, depicted on the attached map and to remove <br />same from the State highway system for maintenance as soon as possible. <br />2. That the Clerk to the Board is authorized and directed <br />to certify a copy of this resolution and submit it and all allied <br />documents to the Board of transportation for its consideration. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />vote. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to recess the regular meeting and <br />to into the Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Commissioner <br />Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted <br />the Board was in the Lee County Water and Sewer Distr <br />Following the Board's discussion in the Lee County <br />District No. 1 meeting, Commissioner Dossenbach moved <br />the regular meeting. Commissioner Matthews seconded <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />unanimously and <br />ict No. 1 meeting. <br />Water and Sewer <br />to go back into <br />the motion, and <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to approve an ordinance Amending The <br />Watershed Protection Ordinance and the Watershed Protection Map of Lee <br />County, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof.
