013 <br />BOOK S r!,{;f 191 <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Reives stated he did not oppose Mr. Budd serving, he only asked the <br />Board to postpone nominations at this time. <br />The Board discussed an ordinance amending the Watershed <br />Protection Ordinance and the Watershed Protection Map of Lee County <br />which will be discussed at the 7:00 p.m. meeting. A recommendation <br />from the Planning Board will be made at that time. No action was taken <br />on the matter. <br />The Board considered appointing a committee to study school <br />funding. Commissioner Moretz asked the Board to consider appointing a <br />committee of citizens to study whether funds should be appropriated to <br />schools on the basis of purpose, function and project and report the <br />findings to the Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Reives seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: Garner <br />vote. <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />After further discussion Commissioner Reives moved the seven members of <br />the Board of Commissioners form the committee for the commissioners and <br />the Board of Education may select their own committee from the Board of <br />Education. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and <br />the meeting recessed for dinner. <br />Upon returning at 7:00 p.m., with all members present, the <br />meeting resumed. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to hold joint public hearings with <br />the Planning Board. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />12 <br />
