aoox 16 188 <br />O11 <br />WHEREAS, such agreement can be rescinded upon two years written <br />notice to the other legislative body concerned; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board f commissioners desires to rescind the grant <br />of extraterritorial jurisdiction heretofore made; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of <br />Lee County as follows: <br />1. That any and all grants of extraterritorial zoning <br />jurisdiction heretofore granted to the City of Sanford be and the same <br />are hereby repealed. <br />2. The County manager is authorized and directed to give <br />written notice to the Board of Aldermen of the City of Sanford of this <br />action by registered mail, return receipt requested. <br />3. The Lee County Planning board is authorized and directed to <br />initiate planning to incorporate said area in its planning jurisdiction <br />and to initiate such procedures as may be necessary to have County <br />jurisdiction attach when City of Sanford jurisdiction terminates <br />according to law. <br />Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman declared the resolution had been adopted by a <br />unanimous vote. <br />The Board considered a Water Purchase Agreement in Principle with <br />the City of Sanford. County Manager William Cowan discussed the <br />agreement with the Board and answered questions. After much discussion <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the Water Purchase Agreement in <br />Principle with the City of Sanford subject to the County obtaining a <br />release from Golden Poultry on the present contract to sell them water, <br />which will run for another ten to eleven years. Commissioner <br />Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives expressed concerns about customers that fall <br />between the city water lines and the county water lines but will not <br />10 <br />
