bm 16 r', '179 002 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1995 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz; Robert T. Reives and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted: { County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. J The Board considered a draft of the August 21, 1995, regular meeting. After noting a correction, Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered approval of the agenda. County Manager William Cowan asked that a resolution be considered authorizing the sale of surplus property on Highland Street. Commissioner Moretz asked that the Board consider appointing a committee to study funding for schools. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed, with the above additions. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a proclamation proclaiming November, 1995, as National Hospice Month in Lee County. Mrs. Crickett Scovill from Hospice of Lee County was present. Commissioner Matthews moved to 1
