bm 16 r', '179 <br />002 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1995 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 p.m. in the <br />Commissioners Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, <br />Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. Matthews; J. <br />Douglas Moretz; Robert T. Reives and Gordon A. Wicker. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />{ County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />J The Board considered a draft of the August 21, 1995, regular <br />meeting. After noting a correction, Commissioner Moretz moved to <br />approve the minutes as the official record of said meeting. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. County Manager <br />William Cowan asked that a resolution be considered authorizing the <br />sale of surplus property on Highland Street. Commissioner Moretz asked <br />that the Board consider appointing a committee to study funding for <br />schools. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed, <br />with the above additions. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, Reives and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a proclamation proclaiming November, 1995, <br />as National Hospice Month in Lee County.
