Todd Hinnant Broadway Police Chief <br />Laura Phillips Concerned Citizen (Probation Officer) <br />Judge Jim Love, Jr. District Court Judge <br />• Budget Amendment # 04/04/11/13 (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Shook <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Pursuant to N.C. General Statute 153A -52.1, Vice Chairman Oldham opened the floor for Public <br />Comments. The following signed up to speak and were allowed 3 minutes for comments: <br />1. Ms. Shelia Barber, 232 Palace Drive, Sanford <br />2. Mr. Charles Staley, 3117 Hickory Hill Drive, Sanford <br />3. Mr. Gary Moore, 1000 Cotton Road, Sanford <br />4. Mr. Shawn Williams, 3125 Hickory Hill Drive, Sanford <br />The Board considered the second and final reading of an application for a franchise for the <br />development, use and operation of a land clearing and inert debris (LCID) Landfill in Lee County. At <br />the March 21, 2011 meeting of the Board, a public hearing was called for this date and time. Solid <br />Waste Superintendent Joe Cherry updated the Board on the application for CALL LLC, dba Central <br />Stump Dump to develop and operate a LCID Landfill on property located at the end of Goldsboro <br />Avenue. Mr. Cherry stated the facility would cover 13 acres of land and have a life expectancy of <br />approximately 10 years. The applicant is requesting a 10 -year exclusive franchise for the area covering <br />the east side of U.S. #1. <br />time. <br />Vice Chairman Oldham opened the public hearing that had been advertised for this date and <br />The following individuals spoke in favor of the proposed LCID Landfill: <br />1.
