~O1 <br />soak i6 1 r8 <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1995 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, and members of the Legislative <br />Delegation, convened at 3:00 p.m. in the Gordon A. Wicker Community <br />Conference Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, <br />J Sanford, North Carolina, on this date. Commissioners' present were <br />Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. <br />Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz; Robert T. Reives and Gordon A. Wicker. <br />Delegation members present were Senators Dan Page; Fred Hobbs; Teena <br />Little, and Representatives Willis Brown and Don Davis. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was <br />discussed. <br />Chairman Garner welcomed all delegation members and thanked them <br />for taking time to meet with the Board to discuss several matters of <br />concern in Lee County. <br />Items discussed during the hour long meeting were the possible <br />relocation of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Office off <br />Carbonton Road; the Forest Services current office needs on Fire Tower <br />- Road; and concerns about Farrell and Lee's Chapel Roads in northern Lee <br />County. <br />Plans, locations and exact needs are needed before <br />representatives can assist in these matters. <br />The meeting adjourned at 3:50 p.m. F.
