Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews and Reives <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to one <br />vote. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. County Manager <br />William Cowan asked that item 7-B - hearing on valuation of property <br />known as Traceway at Carolina Trace Development owned by Carolina <br />Trace be deleted from the agenda, and item 7-D - recommendations of <br />the Planning Board be deleted from the agenda. Commissioner Moretz <br />moved to approve the agenda as printed, with the above deletions. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the purchase of fourteen (14) bullet proof <br />vests for the Sheriff's Department. Captain Kevin Kirkman was <br />present to answer questions. Bids from the following companies had <br />been received: <br />R and R Uniforms $ 5,446.00 <br />Raleigh, NC <br />American Uniform Sales, Inc. $ 5,459.30 <br />Fayetteville, NC <br />Robert's Uniform No Bid <br />Winston Salem, NC <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved <br />to accept the low <br />bid from R and R <br />Uniforms, <br />Raleigh, NC, at a price of $5,446.00. <br />Commission Reives <br />seconded <br />the motion, and upon <br />a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered budget amendment # 10/02/95/06. Finance <br />Director Lisa Minter was present to answer questions. Commissioner <br />Matthews moved to approve budget amendment # 10/02/95/06, a copy of <br />which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part <br />2 <br />
