eooK N ;~,-u- 202 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />024 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1995 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 a.m. in the <br />Commissioners Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present were Jimmie <br />M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. <br />Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. Commissioner <br />Gordon A. Wicker was absent due to sickness. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered bids for painting of the Lee County Armory <br />Recreation Center. County Manager William Cowan and County Attorney <br />K. R. Hoyle discussed the legal aspects concerning Arrow-Tech, who <br />was the low bidder on this project. Arrow-Tech had lost their <br />Articles of Incorporation - Certificate of Authority, but as of <br />September 25, 1995, the company had been reinstated from its revenue <br />suspension pursuant to Section 105-232 of the General Statute of <br />North Carolina. The following bids were received: <br />FIRM GYM CEILING TOTAL <br />Arrow-Tech $5,741.00 $3,302.00 $ 9,043.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Pierce Paint $7,650.00 $1,600.00 $ 9,250.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Carolina Paint $6,300.00 $4,800.00 $11,100.00 <br />& Wallpaper <br />Cleaning Masters $6,000.00 $6,000.00 $12,000.00 <br />After much discussion Commissioner Cox moved to accept the low bid <br />for painting the gym walls only at a cost of $5,741.00 from <br />1 <br />
