BOOK 16 !,t 220 0 0 1 MINUTES OF THE WORK SESSION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1995 The work session of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:30 a.m. in the Gordon A. Wicker Community Conference Room at the Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present J were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker was absent due to sickness. Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. The Board considered a draft of the minutes from the regular September 11, 1995, work session. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner Reives asked that discussion be added concerning the school building program. Commissioner Moretz asked that discussion be added concerning a list of individuals he was proposing to serve on the school budget committee. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the agenda as printed, with the above additions. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. At this time department heads introduced new employees who have been employed by the County in the past three months. The Board discussed a presentation by Dixon-Odom & Company 1
