BOOK 16 !,t 220 <br />0 0 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE WORK SESSION <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1995 <br />The work session of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:30 a.m. in the Gordon A. <br />Wicker Community Conference Room at the Lee County Government Center, <br />106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present <br />J were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha <br />L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. Commissioner <br />Gordon A. Wicker was absent due to sickness. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was <br />transacted. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered a draft of the minutes from the regular <br />September 11, 1995, work session. Commissioner Cox moved to approve <br />the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner <br />Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner <br />Reives asked that discussion be added concerning the school building <br />program. Commissioner Moretz asked that discussion be added <br />concerning a list of individuals he was proposing to serve on the <br />school budget committee. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the <br />agenda as printed, with the above additions. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />At this time department heads introduced new employees who have <br />been employed by the County in the past three months. <br />The Board discussed a presentation by Dixon-Odom & Company <br />1 <br />
