Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman answered questions of the <br />Board. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve Tax Releases and <br />Refunds for September, 1995. Commissioner Moretz seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request to combine the Lee County <br />Americans with Disabilities Act Committee with the Lee County Mayors' <br />Committee for Persons with Disabilities. Emergency Services Director <br />Warren Lee, who is a member of both committees, asked the Board to <br />consider this request. No action was taken on the matter after some <br />discussion took place. <br />The Board considered bids for renovation work in the Health <br />Department. Interim Health Director Phyllis Lowry submitted the <br />following bids for the Boards consideration: <br />David H. Simpson Construction Company $ 8,750.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Bud Esch $ 7,680.00 <br />Sanford, NC <br />Home Improvement $ 5,280.50 <br />(Mr. Edward R. McNeill) <br />Sanford, NC <br />L. D. Kitts & Company $ 10,432.00 <br />Sanford,NC <br />After some discussion commissioner Moretz moved to approve the low <br />bid of $5,280.50 from Home Improvement, Sanford, to do renovation <br />work in the Health Department.
