004 <br />BOOK 16 pm i 262 <br />duties of his/her office, which in our case are: <br />- Tax Assessor - $100,000 <br />- Finance officer - $100,000 <br />- Any employee who handles $100.00 or more at any one <br />time - $250,000 ($250 deductible) <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve bonds for the above as <br />recommended by County Attorney K. R. Hoyle. Commissioner Matthews <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. County Manager <br />William Cowan asked the Board to consider a closed session for <br />discussion of the location of an industry in Lee County. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the agenda as printed, with the <br />above addition. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of a survey of public school <br />facility needs as required by the School Capital Construction Study <br />Commission. Superintendent Steve Wrenn was present and discussed the <br />survey with the Board and answered questions. After some discussion <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the survey of public school <br />facility needs as required by the School Capital Construction Study <br />Commission and presented by Superintendent Steve Wrenn. Commissioner <br />Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution to authorize publication of a <br />notice of intent to apply to the Local Government Commission for <br />approval of bonds and to authorize the filing of such an application <br />for approval. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle explained to the Board <br />this was the next step in order to pay the cost for the construction <br />and renovation of schools in Lee County general obligation bonds not <br />to exceed $25,000,000 as approved at the last meeting. This <br />resolution will designate the County Attorney to employ bond counsel <br />4 <br />
