-1- <br />BOOK 16 . c~ 9 001 <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1995 <br />The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for <br />the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 A.M. in <br />the Commissioners Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners' present were Jimmie <br />M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L.,,_ <br />Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. <br />J Chairman Garner presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered a draft of the November 20, 1995, meeting. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the minutes as the official <br />record of said meeting. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Garner presented to Mrs. Hazel M. Wicker a resolution <br />in memory of the late Gordon A. Wicker, and Commissioner Reives <br />presented Mrs. Wicker with a resolution in honor of her support to <br />Commissioner Wicker during his illness. Mr. Leslie Cox, Chairman of <br />the Lee County Democratic Party presented Mrs. Wicker with a <br />resolution in Mr. Wicker's memory from the Democratic Party. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to adjourn the November 20, 1995, <br />adjourned meeting. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and <br />the meeting recessed for ten minutes. <br />Upon returning from recess, with all members present, Chairman <br />Garner called the December 4, 1995, meeting to order. <br />1 <br />
