Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and <br />Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an amendment to the ambulance franchise for <br />NOVA Medical Transport. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board <br />that effective January 5, 1996, NOVA Medical Transport would be <br />changing ownership to AMR of North Carolina, and an ambulance <br />franchise change for NOVA Medical Transport, Inc. would need to be <br />considered. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve an amendment to <br />the ambulance franchise for NOVA Medical Transport, Inc. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and <br />Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the sale of a house and lot at 205 <br />Hillcrest Drive. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board the last <br />and highest bid for the above property was $50,020.00 from Mr. R.O. <br />Pace. Bids on this property had started at $30,000.00. Commissioner <br />Reives moved to approve the sale of a house and lot at 205 Hillcrest <br />Drive to Mr. R.O. Pace for the sum of $50,020.00. Commissioner <br />Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz, and <br />Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives discussed with the Board his desire to see <br />more farm representation on the Health Board, Planning Board and <br />Environmental Affairs Board. He stated, "It often seems to me that <br />we tend to overlook or forget that at one time we were very rural and <br />had quite a few farms and there are still quite a few farms existing. <br />However, with the changing population and the location of <br />subdivisions and other types of housing, specifically mobile home <br />parks, I'm afraid they (farmers) are getting rooted out and they <br />4 <br />
