6ou~ 16 293 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a 1996 School Capital Construction Study Commission <br />Survey/10-Year Needs Assessment for Public School Facilities in Lee County. School <br />Superintendent Steve Wrenn was present and discussed the survey with Board members <br />and answered questions. After some discussion Commissioner Groce moved to approve <br />the 1996 School Capital Construction Study Commission Survey as presented. <br />Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed appointments to the Board of Equalization and Review. Tax <br />Administrator Nathan Crissman was present and informed the Board that according to <br />G.S. 105-322 County Boards of Equalization and Review must be in place by March I, <br />1996. After some discussion Mr. Crissman was instructed to contact members who served <br />on the Board of Equalization and Review last year to see if they would be willing to serve <br />again this year if reappointed. Chairman Garner asked that this matter be placed on the <br />next work session agenda for further discussion. No action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered the purchase of automobiles for the Health Department. <br />Health Director Phyllis Lowry told the Board the Health Board approved at their <br />December 13, 1995, meeting, the purchase of two mid-size Cutlass Ciera station wagons <br />for the Health Department to use in the Material and Child Health Outreach - Home <br />Visiting programs. Each automobile was estimated to cost approximately $13,722.55. <br />She told the Board, if approved, funds for these vehicles would be moved from the Fund <br />Balance line item for the Health Department. After some discussion Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to approve the purchase of two mid-size station wagons for the Health <br />Department at an estimated cost of $13,722.55 each.
