® noK 16 313 00$ <br />After much discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the transfer of title to the old <br />Sanford-Lee County Airport property to the Sanford-Lee County Regional Airport Authority. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion. After further discussion Commissioner Reives amended the <br />motion to table the matter until questions could be answered concerning where the proceeds from the sale <br />of the old airport would go. Commissioner Groce seconded the motion, and upon a vote of the amended <br />motion, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Groce, Matthews and Reives <br />Nay: Cox, Dossenbach and Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a four to three vote. <br />The Board considered a request to waive the county portion of assessment fee on the Rocky Fork <br />Road waterline. Commissioner Reives moved to waive the assessment fee of .79 per foot for Mr. James <br />Hussey, a former employee of Lee Paving Company. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a proposed amendment to the Health Insurance Trust Interlocal Trust <br />Agreement. County Attorney K.R. Hoyle told the Board Lee County has been given notice of proposed <br />amendments to be considered by the Board of Trustees at it's February meeting. If the Board desires to <br />take a position, either for or against any of the proposed amendments it should do so at this time. After <br />some discussion Commissioner Reives moved to approve the proposed amendments as presented by the <br />County Attorney. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the purchase of a 2.02 acre tract of land in O. T. Sloan Park from the Lee <br />County Recreation Foundation, Inc. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board in 1973, the Lee County <br />Recreation Foundation, Inc., a non-profit corporation, conveyed the property known as O.T. Sloan Park to <br />Lee County. The property is on the tax books at a value of $12,100.00. The County Manager has <br />negotiated with the corporate officers and they have offered to sell the property for the tax liability through <br />1996 on all of their property. After some discussion Commissioner Groce moved to approve the purchase <br />of a 2.02 acre tract of land in O.T. Sloan Park. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon <br />a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed rescheduling of meetings for the month of March, 1996. Chairman Garner <br />told the Board the next regular meeting of the Board would be on Monday, February 19, 1996 at 4:00 p.m. <br />A joint work session with the Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees will be held on <br />Monday, March 11, 1996 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and a regular meeting will be held on Monday, <br />March 18, 1996 at 4:00 p.m. with public hearings at 7:00 p.m. A special joint meeting with members of <br />
