The local Lee County Transportation Advisory Board, Senior Services <br />Advisory Board and the North Carolina Department of Transportation are recommending a 7.5% <br />surcharge on the total invoice for all COLTS services. They are also recommending an increase to the <br />vehicle lease rate from .33 per mile to .50 per mile. After some discussion Commissioner Groce moved to <br />approve the 7.5% surchage on the total invoice for all COLTS services and an increase to the vehicle <br />lease rate from .33 per mile to .50 per mile. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Croce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a contract and an amendment to the 1995/96 JTPA Nursing Assistant <br />Older Worker Program. Mrs. Debbie Davidson, Chairperson of the Lee County Transportation Advisory <br />Board, presented on behalf of Senior Services Director Pam Adams, a request for an additional $8,727 to <br />the JTPA Nursing Assistant Older Worker Program which will add an additional six (6) students to the <br />program during the spring 1996 class. No local matching funds are required for this program. An <br />amendment to the 1995/96 contract for JTPA Nursing Assistant Older Worker Program was also presented <br />for consideration due to The Private Industry Council mistakenly over allocating $1,001.00 in funding to <br />this program. After some discussion Commissioner Reives moved to approve the contract and <br />amendment as presented. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Grace, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the re-certification of the Sanford-Lee County Volunteer Rescue Squad. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the re-certification Commissioner Moretz seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
