Commissioner Grace seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Gamer, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: Dossenbach <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. <br />The Board considered Tax Releases and Refunds for December, 1995. Tax Administrator Nathan <br />Crissman answered questions of the Board. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve Tax Releases <br />and Refunds for December, 1995. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Section 18 Transportation Application for FY 1996/97. Transportation <br />Coordinator Bob Brown explained the application to the Board and answered questions. Commissioner <br />Matthews moved to approve the following application for the Section 18 Transportation Application: <br />Administration $ 37,459 <br />Federal $ 8,026 <br />State $ 8,026 <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Gamer, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a surcharge and rate increase for COLTS Transportation Services. Mrs. <br />Debbie Davidson, Chairperson of the Lee County Transportation Advisory Board, told the Board that in <br />the past years, Section 18 has allocated funds to county transit systems to cover the cost of vehicle <br />insurance and drug testing fees. Effective with the fiscal year 1996/97, the Section 18 Grant Program will <br />no longer include these costs in the allocation; therefore, the Section 18 system will need to find other <br />resources to cover these costs.
