Commissioner Cox moved to add this discussion to the agenda. Commissioner Moretz seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Moretz asked the Board to consider discussion on information requested from the Lee- <br />Harnett Mental Health Authority. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to add this item to the agenda for <br />discussion. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: Garner <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. <br />The Board considered a Resolution of gratitude and appreciation to all persons, firms and <br />corporations who worked to alleviate the hardship and suffering of Lee County citizens caused by the <br />recent ice storms. Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the following: <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the recent ice storms have affected the lives of all of the citizens of Lee County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the efforts of those in the fields of transportation, communication, power, health <br />care, and public services to ameliorate the harsh effect of such storms on our citizens has been <br />outstanding; and <br />WHEREAS, numerous volunteers have participated in programs designated to minister to the <br />needs of the aged, sick and disabled; and <br />WHEREAS, all those who contributed in any manner to assist their fellow citizens in their <br />time of need are deserving of recognition and praise; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee on behalf of the people of Lee County that it expresses its profound gratitude and <br />appreciation to all those persons, firms and corporations who worked to alleviate the hardship and <br />suffering of Lee County citizens caused by the recent ice storms. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for a fuel dispensing system for the County of Lee and the Lee County <br />Schools.
