01 7 <br />W, N 1,322 <br />There being no further business to come before the Board Commissioner Dossenbach moved to <br />recess the meeting until 7:00 p.m. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting recessed. <br />Upon returning at 7:00 p.m., with all members present, the meeting resumed. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to hold public hearings with the Lee County Planning <br />Board. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman invited Planning Board members to join the Commissioners for public hearings <br />scheduled for this date and time. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Boards' that Mr. Clyde Burge was requesting to <br />rezone from Residential Restricted District to Light Industrial District approximately 116.7 acres of land <br />on Jefferson Davis Highway. <br />Mr. Clyde Burge of 1700 Westover Drive and Mr. Bob Burkcy of 2101 Jasney Drive spoke in <br />favor of the rezoning request. <br />Mr. John Reese of 6600 Wild Life Road and Mr. Mark Ogburn of 4280 Jefferson Davis <br />Highway spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Mr. Averett told the Boards' Mr. Stanley Davis was requesting to rezone 1.36 acres of land on <br />Steel Bridge Road from Residential Restricted District to Residential Agricultural Conditional Use <br />District for a Veterinary Clinic. <br />Stanley and Katherine Davis of 646 Sunset Drive spoke in favor of the rezoning request. <br />Mr. Bill Wyatt of 508 Steel Bridge Road made a clarification concerning the request - neither <br />for or against the matter. <br />Mr. Glenn Stevens of 509 Steel Bridge Road, Mr. Ray Branch of 701 Pendergrass Road and <br />Commissioner Van Groce spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to close the public hearings. Commissioner Matthews <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board Commissioner Cox moved to adjourn <br />the meeting.
