0 606~ 16 =r:s_ 8 013 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee desires to execute the proposed <br />program that was in the County's approved SFR Grant Application; <br />Lee <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the County of <br />Section 1. That the grant award in the amount of $243,000 from the North Carolina <br />Housing Finance Agency is hereby gratefully accepted; and <br />Section 2. That the Lee County Manager be, and lie hereby is, duly authorized to <br />execute the Funding Agreement No. 951130 dated November 30, 1995, and any other documents <br />required by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency; and <br />Section 3. That the Lee County Manager and appropriate staff be, and they hereby <br />are, authorized and directed to implement the program in accordance with said Funding Agreement and <br />the County's approved SFR Grant Application. <br />Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a sub-recipient agreement between the County of Lee and Johnston-Lee <br />Community Action in reference to the Single-Family Housing Rehabilitation Program. After some <br />discussion Commissioner Moretz moved to table the matter. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox and Moretz <br />Nay: Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews and Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had failed with a five to two vote. <br />After further discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to approve the sub-recipient agreement with the <br />County of Lee and Johnston-Lee Community Action. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews and Reives <br />Nay: Cox and Moretz <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to two vote. <br />The Board considered the acceptance of a discretionary grant award. Community Corrections <br />Director Randell Woodruff told the Board he has received from North Carolina Department of <br />Corrections a grant award in the amount of $54,750.00 which will be used to enhance the program of <br />the Lee-Harnett Criminal Justice Alliance. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the acceptance of <br />$54,740.00 from the North Carolina Department of Correction and budget amendment reflecting this <br />additional money. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />
