002 <br />Eeo 16 rs 304 <br />Wireless Mic System $ 8,137.00 <br />(Microphones - $597/each) <br />Standard Mic System $ 4,961.00 <br />(Microphones - $190/each) <br />After some discussion it was the general concensus of the Board for Mr. Cole to check into something less <br />expensive for the conference room. <br />The Board discussed the update of the County Land Use Plan and Ordinances. County Manager <br />William Cowan and Planning Director Trevis Averett discussed with the Board updating the County's <br />Land Use Plan and Ordinances. At the February 12, 1996 regular meeting of the Board, this item was <br />discussed and approved for representatives of the North Carolina Division of Community Assistance <br />(NCDCA) to meet with the Board and representatives of the Planning Board to discuss expectations of <br />both parties in handling this update. Mr. Ralph Willoughby and Ms. Marianne Fredrick were present and <br />participated in the discussion process. Commissioners' went over some of their concerns in the current <br />zoning ordinance and explained areas they would like to see changes made. After much discussion <br />Commissioner Groce moved for the North Carolina Division of Community Assistance to proceed with <br />updating the County Land Use Plan and Ordinances. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Chairman Garner appointed <br />Commissioners Cox and Groce, as representatives of the Board of Commissioners, to be on the Steering <br />Committee for this project. <br />As the time was nearing for the meeting to end, Commissioner Moretz moved the Board extend <br />their time for an additional ten (10) minutes. Commissioner Grace seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting continued. <br />The Board discussed the State's model watershed regulations. Planning Director Trevis Averett <br />went over the model watershed protection Ordinance recently submitted by the State, which reflects the <br />rule changes approved by the Environmental Management Commission effective August 1, 1995. He told <br />the Board that Lee County is in compliance with the State regulations. Mr. Averett was instructed to <br />discuss this matter with the Lee County Planning Board and have them submit a recommendation to the <br />full Board at a later time. <br />The Board discussed the following resolution presented by Commissioner Groce: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners that <br />Section 1: <br />If any person, association, or organization, public or private including, but not limited to, any <br />governmental department, agency, or authority funded wholly or in part by Lee County shall, as a <br />
