021 <br />auuK 16 s;: 326 <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 1996 <br /> <br />The special meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, and members of the Lee County Board of Education, convened at 5:00 p.m. in the auditorium of <br />St. Clair School. Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert <br />Garner; Van R. Groce; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Morey and Robert T. Reives. Board members <br />present were Jan Perkinson; James Womack; David Simpson; Eugenia Thompson; Joan Wagoner; <br />Frances Warner and Phil C. Yarborough. <br />Chairman Garner presided and Phil Yarborough delivered the invocation. <br />Lee County Finance Director Lisa Minter went over five (5) exhibits she had prepared to show <br />Lee County's budget analysis and budget expenditures for 1996/1997. <br />School Superintendent Steve Wrenn went over expectations of the Board of Education for the <br />coining year. <br />Much discussion took place between the two boards' and the Board of Education was asked to let <br />the Commissioners know something as soon as possible as to the exact amount of money requested for the <br />coming fiscal year. <br />The joint meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m. <br />-C <br />F.
