0 1~00K 16 ~?c~ 33 <br />Deep River Deep River Community Building <br />Cumnock West Sanford Rural Fire Department <br />The registration records for said election will be kept open at the office of the Lee <br />County Board of Elections, at 106 Gordon Street, in Sanford, from 8:00 o'clock a.m., until <br />5:00 o'clock, p.m. each Monday through Friday, through April 12, 1996. <br />Voters may also register through April 12, 1996, at the Lee County Library on <br />Hawkins Avenue in Sanford and at the Division of Motor Vehicles when conducting <br />business with that agency. <br />Voters may also register by mail. A registration by mail form may be obtained <br />from the Lee County Board of Elections. In order to be valid for the special bond election <br />the completed form must be postmarked by April 12, 1996, at least 25 days prior to the <br />election. <br />The last day of registration for the special election shall be April 12, 1996. <br />Any qualified voter who (1) expects to be absent from the County all day on said <br />election day, or (2) because of sickness or other physical disability occurring before 5:00 <br />o'clock p.m. on the day prior to the special election date will be unable to be present at the <br />polls to vote in person on said day, or (3) is expecting to be absent from the County, or <br />due to emergency disability will be unable to vote in person, or a person who qualifies <br />under G.S. 163-226(a) (4), and who, in lieu of making application by mail, wishes to apply <br />in person and receive a ballot which he may immediately vote in the office of the County <br />Board of Elections, may apply for an absentee ballot to be used in voting at said election. <br />Information concerning the time and manner for applying for an absentee ballot, including <br />the 1st day for making such application can be obtained from the Lee County Board of <br />Elections at the Board's office in Sanford, North Carolina. <br />By order of the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee. <br />Gaynell M.
