Commissioner Moretz <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution of support for application of Imperial Freezer <br />Services, LLC for assistance under the Rail Industrial Access Program. Economic <br />Development Director Don Moss presented the resolution to the Board for <br />consideration and Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the following: <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT BY <br />THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR APPLICATION OF <br />IMPERIAL FREEZER SERVICES, LLC, <br />FOR ASSISTANCE UNDER THE RAIL INDUSTRIAL ACCESS PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) <br />administers the Rail Industrial Access Program to fund construction or refurbishment of <br />access tracks required by a new or expanded industry in order to encourage economic <br />development; and <br />WHEREAS, Imperial Freezer Services, LLC, proposes to construct a facility in <br />Lee County which is an eligible project for assistance under said program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is of the opinion that the construction <br />of the tracks and facility will have a positive impact upon economic development and <br />transportation efficiency; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners <br />for Lee County as follows: <br />Section I. That it supports the application of Imperial Freezer Services, <br />LLC, for assistance under the Rail Industrial Access Program and urges the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation to give favorable consideration to its application <br />for assistance. <br />Section 2. The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners is authorized and <br />directed to furnish a certified copy of this resolution to the North Carolina Department <br />of Transportation. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />3 <br />
