0 BOOK 16 ors: 3 17 <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to hold public hearings with the Lee County <br />Planning Board. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman invited Planning Board members to join the Commissioners for <br />public hearings scheduled for this date and time. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Boards' that Mr. Alex Autry was <br />requesting to rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Residential Restricted <br />District 62.17 acres of land on the south side of Highway 42, East, Broadway Road. <br />Mr. Alex Autry of 1011 Broadway Road and Mr. Bill Oldham of 520 Colonial <br />Drive, Broadway, spoke in favor of the rezoning request. Attorney Jimmy Love, Sr., <br />representing Mr. Autry, spoke on behalf of Mr. Autry. <br />Mr. Mark Lyczkowksi, employed by Bracken & Associates, spoke in favor of <br />the request. <br />Mr. Wayne Rosser of 213 Avent's Ferry Road asked various questions <br />concerning the proposed development of the area if approved. <br />Mr. Averett told the Boards' Mr. Wayne Spivey was requesting to rezone from <br />Residential Agricultural District to Residential Restricted District approximately 95.02 <br />acres of land on the east side of Minter School Road. <br />Mr. Wayne Spivey of Pendergrass Road, Mr. Richard Roach of 5721 Brittany <br />Road and Dr. Don Roscoe Sr. of 2510 Buckingham Drive spoke in favor of the <br />rezoning request. <br />Mr. Jimmy Matthews of 4925 Joe Matthews Road spoke in opposition to the <br />request. <br />The Board heard public comments concerning the proposed Capital <br />Improvements Program (CIP) for FY 1996/97 - 2000/2001. County Manager William <br />Cowan gave the Board a summary for the years 1996-2001. He told the Board the total <br />amount of appropriations that were requested in this planning document was <br />$69,560,949.
