Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the final plat for Cheshire Farms, Phase I. <br />After some discussion Commissioner Groce moved to approve the recommendations <br />of the Planning Board. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: Cox <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one vote. <br />The Board considered a petition and resolution for Ranches Road to the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation. Mr. Averett told the Board the Planning <br />Board recommended approval of this request for improvements of this state <br />maintained road. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the following resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Lee has <br />investigated the condition of the above described road which is indicated on the <br />attached map; and <br />WHEREAS, after careful consideration of the services rendered by said road <br />and the traffic demands of said County, it is deemed necessary that said road be <br />improved in order to better serve the interests of the people of this County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, and the Board of County <br />Commissioners hereby approve and request that the State Highway Commission make <br />improvements to the above described road known as Northern Ranches Road. <br />Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the write-off of 1985 delinquent taxes. Tax <br />Administrator Nathan Crissman presented numerous delinquent taxes to the Board for <br />10 <br />
