The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner Moretz asked that the Board consider a congratulatory letter to Mr. Herb Hincks for his work on the Sanford-Lee County Regional Airport Authority. Commissioner Cox moved to approve the agenda as printed, with the above addition. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Dossenbach moved approval of the following resolution: WHEREAS, Currie Franklin Parker, Jr., has served as Fraud Investigator with the Lee County Department of Social Services for the past year; and WHEREAS, Mr. Parker has had 4 U2 years experience in social service work with 3 112 years spent as a fraud investigator; and WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Human Resources and the United Council of Welfare Fraud have designated him "Investigator of the Year" for 1995 in recognition of the professional manner in which he has carried out his duties; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners desires to officially recognize his achievement in obtaining this award and record their appreciation for his meritorious services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County as follows: Section 1. That Currie Franklin Parker, Jr., is publicly commended for receiving the award as Investigator of the Year for 1995 from the North Carolina Department of Human Resources and the United Council of Welfare Fraud. Section 2. That it expresses its appreciation for the exemplary manner in which he has performed his duties as Fraud Investigator with the Lee County Department of Social Services. 2
