Boor 16 Rr: ,r 3 <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />recessed in keeping with the motion. Upon returning at 7:00 p.m., with all members <br />present, in the upstairs courtroom of the old courthouse, 1408 S. Horner Blvd., the <br />meeting resumed. <br />Chairman Garner called the meeting to order and invited Planning Board <br />members to join the Commissioners' for public hearings as advertised for this date and <br />time. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to open the public hearing. Commissioner <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Boards' Mr. Eddie Winstead, III was <br />requesting to rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Light Industrial <br />Conditional Use District five (5) acres of land near the intersection of NC 42 and South <br />Plank Road for a storage warehouse not for hire. <br />Mr. Eddie Winstead, representing Mr. Leon Buntz, spoke in favor of the <br />rezoning request. <br />The following individuals spoke in opposition to the request: Mr. Woody <br />Mashburn of 5509 Carbonton Road; Mr. Lloyd Webster, property owner of 5454 <br />Carbonton Road; Mr. Bobby Thomas of 5829 Carbonton Road, Mr. Tom Poe of 5715 <br />Carbonton Road; and Mr. Ed Paschal of 5318 Carbonton Road. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to close the public hearing. Commissioner Moretz <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />8 <br />
