Blio~ 16 ~l . 371 0 0 4 <br />WHEREA, said "Railroad Heritage Days" is a celebration for all of the citizens <br />of Lee County and will celebrate its heritage and provide entertainment and education <br />for young and old, as well as draw other visitors to our county; and <br />WHEREA, said "Railroad Heritage Days" will consist of the "Railroad Town <br />Celebration" on Saturday, May 4, 1996, from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in downtown <br />Sanford (Carthage and Moore Streets and in and around the Railroad House and <br />Railroad Depot), and of the original play/revue Railroad! on May 3-5, 1996 at the <br />Temple Theater; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for Lee County wishes to encourage <br />and recognize "Railroad Heritage Days in Lee County". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, F. HUBERT GARNER, CHAIRMAN, under and by <br />virtue of the authority conferred up me, do hereby publicly declare that the people of <br />Lee County, North Carolina, do welcome "Railroad Heritage Days in Lee County" and <br />wish that this festival may be productive and memorable. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the above resolution and proclamation, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the appointment of a new 4-H Agent for Lee County. <br />County Extension Director John Hall introduced Ms. April Denise Bullin to the Board <br />and recommended her for this position effective May 1, 1996. Commissioner Matthews <br />moved approval of hiring Ms. April Denise Bullin as Lee County's new 4-H Agent <br />effective May 1, 1996. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered Tax Releases and Refunds for January, February and <br />March, 1996. Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman was present and answered questions <br />of the Board. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve Tax Releases and Refunds <br />for January, February and March, 1996 as presented. Commissioner Cox seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />4 <br />
