roof, 16 368 0 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />J <br />MONDAY, APRIL 15,1996 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, <br />State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Room, Lee <br />County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr., F. Hubert <br />Garner; Van R. Groce; Bertha L. Matthews; J. Douglas Moretz and Robert T. Reives. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business wa's:transacted. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered approval of the draft of the minutes of the April I, 1996 <br />regular meeting. Commissioner Groce moved to approve the minutes as the official <br />record of said meeting. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. Chairman Garner asked the <br />Board to consider a letter of endorsement from the Lee County Board of Education for <br />the Smart Start program and to allow representatives from the Sanford-Lee County <br />Regional Airport Authority to give a brief update on the new airport. Commissioner <br />Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed, with the above additions. <br />Commissioner Groce seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution designating the week of April 2l - 27, 1996 as <br />Infant Immunization Week in Lee County.
