0 81]o~ 16 P'r-t 387 <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Averett told the Board the Planning Board recommended the Commissioners <br />continue with the same procedure used previously for hearings for conditional use zoning <br />request which involves conducting one (1) legislative hearing. After much discussion the <br />general concensus of the Board was to adhere to the County Attorney's recommendation <br />to hold two (2) hearings for conditional use zoning request. No formal action was taken <br />on the matter but Mr. Averett was instructed to submit a draft schedule to the Board at <br />the next work session as to how the procedure would be held for future requests. <br />The Board considered a renewal labor contract with Sanford Correctional Center. <br />Public Works Director Kenny Cole asked the Board to consider approval of a renewal <br />labor contract for an additional year between the Sanford Correctional Center and the <br />County of Lee to cover the period of May 1, 1996 through May I, 1997. He told the <br />Board the County saves between $28,000 - $35,000 a year on this program. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the renewal labor contract between the Sanford <br />Correctional Center and the County of Lee for an additional year. Commissioner <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an HIV/AIDS Case Management Contract between the Lee <br />County Health Department and Piedmont HIV Health Care Consortium. Health Director <br />Phyllis Lowry asked the Board to consider entering into a contractual agreement with the <br />Piedmont HIV Health Care Consortium to provide benefits advocacy and case <br />management services for persons living in Lee County with the HIV infection. They will <br />provide $8,000 to cover the services supplied under benefits advocacy and $3,000 to <br />cover the case management services. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the <br />HIV/AIDS Case Management Contract between the Lee County Health Department and <br />Piedmont HIV Health Care Consortium as presented.
