• ~ i <br /> <br />~Du <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL WORK SESSION <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, MAY 13, 1996 <br />J The special work session of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, <br />State of North Carolina, convened at 5:15 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, I" Floor, <br />Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners' present were Jimmie M. Cox; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; <br />Bertha L. Matthews and J. Douglas Moretz. Commissioners Van R. Croce and Robert T. <br />Reives were absent. <br />Chairman Garner presided and the following business was transacted. <br />Chairman Garner delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered a draft of the minutes of the April 8, 1996 regular work <br />session. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the minutes as the official record <br />of said meeting. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews and Moretz <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner Cox moved to <br />approve the agenda as printed. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews and Moretz <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board heard a presentation from Taylor Uzzell of BEC Health Insurance <br />concerning a proposed health insurance plan for Lee County employees. He presented <br />two various plans to the Board and answered questions. Commissioner Groce joined the <br />
