3n <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to hold public hearings with the Lee County <br />Planning Board. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman invited Planning Board members to join the Commissioners for <br />public hearings scheduled for this date and time. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett told the Boards' the Lee County Committee of <br />100, Inc. was requesting to rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Light <br />Industrial District two (2) tracts of land in the 5300 block and on the eastern side of <br />Womack Road. <br />Economic Development Director Don Moss and Committee of 100 member Albert <br />Adcock spoke in favor of the rezoning request. <br />Mr. Ronnie Ryles of 5314 Womack Road; Mr. And Mrs. Ricky Collins of 5320 <br />Womack Road; Mr. Gary Haynes of 5401 Womack Road, Mr. Jeff Coggins of 903 Windy <br />Lane and Mr. Roger Lyons of 6300 Deep River Road spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Commissioner Groce moved to close the public hearings. Commissioner <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board <br />recessed to the Lee County Government Center for a budget work session. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Garner, with all members present, <br />except Commissioner Dossenbach. County Manager William Cowan and Finance <br />Director Lisa Minter gave the Board a review revenue forecast for the upcoming year and <br />answered questions of the Board. Various budget items were discussed throughout the <br />two hour work session. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner <br />Matthews moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />006 <br />6 <br />
