O 005 <br />BOOK 16 ~7„i 395 <br />The Board considered appointments to Boards and Commissions. After some <br />discussion the general concensus of the Board was to make these appointments at the next <br />work session on June 10, 1996. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Lee County Council for Women. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to appoint Ms. Veronica Murphy to the Lee County <br />Council for Women, to replace Ms. Joan Moore who did not accept her appointment due <br />to a work conflict. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to go into a closed session to consult with the <br />County Attorney to consider and give instructions concerning the handling of a claim and <br />to discuss a personnel action that involved an officer or employee of this board. <br />Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the Board was <br />in closed session. Following the Board's discussion in closed session, Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to go out of closed session. Commissioner Matthews seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously <br />There being no further business to come before the Board Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to recess the meeting until 7:00 p.m. Commissioner Groce seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Gamer, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />recessed. Upon returning at 7:00 p.m., with all members present, except Commissioner <br />Dossenbach, the meeting resumed. <br />5 <br />
