0 + a 0 0 4 <br />pp 3p~~ <br />BCl1K 1p <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve a 3-year contract with First Citizens Bank. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a continuation and discretionary application for FY 1996/97 <br />for the Lee/Hamett Criminal Justice Alliance. Community Corrections Director Randell <br />Woodruff asked the Board to consider this application for continuation of implementation <br />funds and application for discretionary funding. Commissioner Groce moved to approve <br />the continuation and discretionary application for FY 1996/97 as presented. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed alternatives for the County's Zoning and Subdivision <br />Ordinances. At an earlier Board meeting the Board had instructed Planning Director <br />Trevis Averett to bring to the Board recommendations for alternatives for the County's <br />Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. Mr. Averett presented six (6) alternatives to the <br />Board for consideration. After some discussion this item was referred to the next work <br />session for further discussion and no action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered exchange of deeds with the Lee County Board of Education <br />to correct the description of the parcel on which the gym at the W. B. Wicker School site <br />is located. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the Board the County purchased a 3.26 acre <br />parcel of the W. B. Wicker School property from the Lee County Board of Education in <br />September, 1995. The Board of Education needs to make minor adjustments in the <br />boundary lines near the original school building to comply with the Sanford Zoning <br />Ordinance. They have proposed an exchange of deeds to accomplish this. The Board of <br />Education authorized the exchange at their meeting on May 13, 1996. Commissioner <br />Groce moved to approve the exchange of interests in real property as presented and <br />authorized by N.C. General Statute 160A-274.
