0 0 <br />boo; N 413 ? 1 <br />The Board considered a permit for use of pyrotechnics in connection with the 4`s <br />of July celebration at Riverbirch Shopping Center. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle told the <br />Board a permit for the annual fire works celebration for July 4m was requested by <br />Development Management, Inc. Commissioner Moretz moved to approve the following: <br />PERMIT FOR USE OF PYROTECHNICS <br />IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONDUCT OF <br />A PUBLIC EXHIBITION IN <br />LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Pursuant to the authority contained in North Carolina General Statute 14-413, and <br />after satisfactory evidence has been produced to the effect that said pyrotechnics will be <br />used in connection with the public exhibition described in the attached application and <br />none other, the Board of Commissioners for Lee County, North Carolina, issues this <br />permit to Development Management, Inc. to use pyrotechnics for an aerial pyrotechnic <br />display at Riverbirch Corner Shopping Center, Sanford, N.C., on Thursday, July 4, 1996, <br />in accordance with an application. <br />Commissioner Groce seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice-Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to go into closed session to consult with the <br />County Attorney to consider and give instructions concerning the handling of a claim <br />pertaining to the Lee County Jail and to discuss a personnel action that involves an officer <br />or employee of this Board. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice-Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the <br />Board was in closed session. Following the Board's discussion in closed session, <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to go out of closed session. Commissioner Moretz <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice-Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />8 <br />
