noon 16 > 4 Q 0 2 <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the appointment of a Tax Administrator for the Lee County <br />Tax Office. Commissioner Groce moved to appoint Roger Kelley, for a two-year term as <br />Tax Administrator for Lee County. Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon <br />a vote, the results were as follows; <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Garner, Groce, Matthews, Moretz and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed proposed fee increases for the Parks and Recreation <br />Department. Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Sipe went over proposed fee <br />increases for various programs approved by the Parks and Recreation Commission. After <br />some discussion Mrs. Sipe was instructed to do a survey of some of the sponsors for the <br />adult team sports to see how they felt about the proposed fee increases. Commissioner <br />Reives expressed concerns about W. B. Wicker Gym not being open for the public, at no <br />charge during the summer months. Mrs. Sipe and Commissioner Cox are to discuss and <br />work out a possible solution to present to the Board for consideration. <br />The Board discussed a revised proposed Lee County Animal Control Ordinance. <br />Health Director Phyllis Lowry and Environmental Health Supervisor Roy Warren were <br />present and went over the proposed changes to the Ordinance, as approved by the Board <br />of Health. After much discussion Chairman Garner appointed a committee of himself, and <br />Commissioners' Cox and Groce, along with concerned private citizens Virginia Walker <br />and Dallas Harper to work with a committee appointed by the Board of Health to try and <br />come up with a revised Lee County Animal Control Ordinance. <br />The Board discussed proposed amendments to the County's Zoning and <br />Subdivision Ordinances. Planning Director Trevis Averett presented to the Board <br />alternatives for amendments to the County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. After <br />some discussion the general concensus of the Board was for the alternatives to be <br />presented to the Home Builders Association for consideration before coming back to the <br />Board for approval. Mr. Trevis was instructed to work with Commissioners' Cox and <br />Groce to prepare a proposed revised Ordinance and bring back to the Board for <br />consideration. <br />The Board had previously asked Planning Director Trevis Averett for a schedule <br />for Conditional Use District Zoning request and Conditional Use Permits. Mr. Averett <br />presented this schedule to the Board. <br />2 <br />
