AD HOC SUB COMMITTEE <br />FOR THE <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE COUNTY'S <br />ZONING AND SUBDIVISION ORDINANCES <br />JUNE 18, 1996 <br /> <br />An ad hoc sub committee, appointed by the Board of Commissioners, met on June <br />18, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gordon A. Wicker Community Conference Room to discuss <br />proposed amendments to the County's Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance. Present for the <br />meeting were Planning Director Trevis Averett; County Manager William Cowan; County <br />Attorney K. R. Hoyle; Commissioner Jimmie Cox; Commissioner Van Groce and <br />Commission Chairman Hubert Garner. Clerk to the Board Gaynell Beal acted as <br />Secretary for the meeting. <br />County Manager William Cowan called the meeting to order. <br />Planning Director Trevis Averett supplied the committee with several alternatives <br />to be considered. <br />The following issues were discussed: <br />• concern about the value of land <br />• use Guilford County definition of Class AA mobile home <br />• area for restricted homes will have to be regulated <br />• single wide mobile homes limited to certain areas of the County <br />• not allow Class C mobile homes (built before 1976) to be reset <br />unless standards are implemented <br />• look into implementing the City of Sanford's light industrial <br />classification <br />• cut down on mobile homes in Jonesboro (Greenwood) area <br />• not allow manufactured homes in RR districts <br />0006 <br />0 allow Class A and B manufactured homes in RA districts <br />
